SNAP MBA Exam - Overview
Symbiosis
National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is
a mandatory written test for admission into any Post-Graduate
programme offered by the Constituent Institutes of Symbiosis
International (Deemed University). However, it is only
the first step. In addition, a candidate has to undergo
the selection process of the desired Institute to qualify
for the admission to the Post-Graduate programmes of
that Institute.
Participating
institutes shortlist candidates on the basis of their
performance in SNAP who then undergo institute-specific
selection procedures such as interviews and group discussions.

SNAP Exam Test Sites are -

SNAP Exam Eligibility
Graduates
in any discipline from a recognized university with
50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate are eligible. Applicants
expecting final year results also can apply.

SNAP Test Duration and Pattern
SNAP Test duration is 120 minutes. SNAP Test is an objective
test. Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose
an appropriate response. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative
marks. It has following sections -
- General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning,
Verbal Ability of 40 marks
- Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency of
40 marks
- General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs,
Business Scenario of 40 marks
- Analytical & Logical Reasoning of 60 marks

SNAP Exam Registration Instructions
Important
Instructions for Online Registration are -
- Register for SNAP Test at www.snaptest.org You need to
upload a latest scanned photograph of own at the time of
online registration. This will generate your SNAP ID. For
different modes of payment different ‘Payment Advice’ formats
are created. Choose a payment mode and print a ‘Payment
Advice’ form online.
- Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1500/- according to the
payment mode. You have 4 choices.
- PAYMENT THROUGH CASH:
- You may pay cash only at an Axis Bank branch.
Print ‘Axis Bank Challan’ which is in 3 parts. Pay
Rs. 1500/- in cash at any Axis Bank branch in your
city. Refer to the list of branches on the website.
The bank will return two stamped parts of the ‘Axis
Bank Challan’ to you. The ‘Student copy’ is your
receipt.
- Sign the stamped ‘Symbiosis copy’ of the ‘Axis
Bank Challan’ form of Axis Bank and send it to the
Symbiosis Test Secretariat at the following Address,

- PAYMENT THROUGH DEMAND DRAFT:
- Get a demand draft for Rs. 1500/- from any Nationalize
Bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable
at Pune.
- Sign the single copy of the ‘Payment Advice’ for
DD and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis
Test Secretariat only at the following Address,

- ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD:
- You may pay directly through either Master or
Visa card online. Follow the instructions on the
SNAP website.
- MONEY TRANSFER (NET BANKING):
- Online money transfer facility is available to
pay your SNAP test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat
account and you may also pay participating Institute
Application fees through this option.
- The University will make the best efforts to send prospectus
at the earliest possible time. Candidates are advised to
contact University for prospectus purchased and any queries.
The University will not be held responsible for non delivery
or any delay on the part of courier / postal services. Also
Symbiosis Test Secretariat will not be held responsible
for any non delivery or any delay on the part of courier
/ postal services.
- Admit Card should be printed from the website. This will
be operative from December 07 and will remain open till
December 20. Ensure the following.
- Print the Admit Card online.
- Bring the Admit card with the Photo Id Proof to the
Test Center
- Preserve authenticated Admit Card for further selection
processes of individual Institutes.
SNAP Exam Testing Process
- Reach the Test Centre latest by 1:00 p.m. The test procedure
will start at 1:30 p.m. Candidates reaching after 2:00 p.m.
will not be admitted
- Bring the following to the Test Centre:
- Admit Card: without which you will not be allowed
to take the test.
- Photo identity: any one of the following:
- Passport
- Driving license
- College/Institute identity card
- Credit card with photograph
- Voter ID Card
- Blue/Black ballpoint pen.
- Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks,
digital watches with built in calculators/ memory etc. will
not be allowed in the examination hall.
- Occupy the seat allotted by verifying the SEAT NO written
on the desk and indicated in your Admit Card.
- The Test Invigilator will check your Admit Card.
- The Test booklet will be distributed just before the starting
time of the Test. When you get the test booklet, make sure
that the booklet is in sealed condition. If the seal is
found broken or tampered with, please bring this matter
immediately to the notice of the invigilator.
- Candidate will get two hours from 2:00p.m. To 4:00 p.m.
to answer the questions.
- Invigilator or Symbiosis Test Secretariat Representative
will stamp and authenticate Admit Card. Please preserve
this authenticated Admit Card for further selection processes
of individual Institutes.
SNAP Results and Score
SNAP
results will be available on the website. Scorecard
will be sent only to the qualified candidates.
