Ahilya University
Institute
of Management Studies was established in 1969, under the
aegis of the University, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. Institute
of Management Studies has its own state-of-the-art computing
facility. Institute started a Health Care Programme with
the Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. The Institute is
a part of an USAID funded Consortium with the Tulane University
for teaching, training and research in Hospital Administration.
Eligibility and Selection Procedure of Institute of Management Studies, Devi Ahilya University
Bachelor's
degree (3-year) or equivalent in any discipline. Selection
for full time MBA is based on Madhya Pradesh Management
Joint Entrance Test (MPMJET) /ATMA and the performance
in Interview.
For
rest of the courses selection will be through Common
Entrance Test (CET) . Common Entrance Test(CET) is
an all india test conducted by Devi Ahilya University
for admission in professional courses offered by various
teaching departments of university.

Infrastructure of Institute of Management Studies, Devi Ahilya University is -
The Institute has its own Auditorium. It is equipped with
the best facilities in the city with seating capacity
of 450 people and is fully air – conditioned. It is utilized
for holding seminars and conferences. The Institute has
access to Central Auditorium of the University which has
a seating capacity of 1100 people. The auditorium is centrally
air-conditioned with wi-fi facility. The Institute has
ninety Pentium systems with two servers under LAN with
Internet facility.
Academic Programmes offered by Institute of Management Studies, Devi Ahilya University
are -
- MBA (Full Time) - The MBA programme spread over four
semesters aiming at imparting quality management education
in specialized areas of Marketing, Finance, Information
Systems and Human Resources Development
- MBA (Part Time) is a three-year programme offered
by Institute of Management Studies designed to cater
the need of pursuing management education for working
executives.
- MBA (Distance Education) is a three-year programme
offered by Institute of Management Studies providing
management education through correspondence to people
located at far off places in various part of the country.
- MBA (FA) Programme - The Master of Financial Administration
is a two-year full time tailor made programme engineered
to impart quality management education arising out of
fundamental rethinking in Capital Market, Financial
Services, International Finance, Insurance and other
financial areas. The MFA programme aims to equip the
students with the requisite knowledge and skills in
financial planning, decision making and control.
- MBA (e-commerce) - Enriching the students with interdisciplinary
and multidimensional flavor to IT and management. Bridging
the gap between management and technology.
- MBA-DISASTER MANAGEMENT - The main objective of the
program is to equip the students with the requisite
knowledge and skills in planning, decision making and
control, specifically in the field of Disaster Management.
The MBA (DM) programme incorporates cross functional
integration by providing knowledge about legal and economic
environment, safety and health, disaster management,
civil society organizations, organization structure,
organization behaviour, strategic management, information
system and quantitative techniques.
- MBA (MM) Programme
- MBA (HA) Programme - This programmes helps in developing
effective hospital managers capable of fulfilling the
needs of twenty first century by imparting knowledge
and skills required in the area of hospital administration.
