Punjabi University was established on April 30, 1962. The university campus is situated on the Patiala Chandigarh road, at a distance of 7 km from the main city sprawling across 316 acres. School of Management Studies established in 1969, is an institute par excellence serving with the objective of providing quality management education and catering to the dynamic needs of the corporate world. An outstanding achievement of the school was the introduction of first ever MBA (CC) for defence officers and business executives.

Punjab School of Management Studies (PSMS) of Punjabi University, Patiala, and the Wilkes University of Pennsylvania offer joint degree in management. Under this program, student seeking admission will be doing first year of the management course at School of Management Studies, Punjabi University, Patiala and shall be completing the second year of the course at Wilkes University, USA.

Eligibility, Selection and Fee of Punjab School of Management Studies, Punjabi University Candidates having 50% marks in Graduation are eligible to apply. The students who are in final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply, subject to their obtaining 50% marks at the time of admission. Admission to the course will be based on Academic Merit, Group Discussions and Interviews. The estimated cost of the program is : 1st year in India : Rs 300,000/- 2nd year in USA : Rs 900,000/-(approximately) -Boarding and lodging is extra.
