The
University of Madras, organized on the model of the London
University, was incorporated on the 5th of September 1857
by an act of the Legislative Council of India.
Eligibility and Selection Procedure of Department

class Bachelor’s degree. The candidate's selection
will be through the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test
(TANCET) after that institute conducts group discussions
and personal interviews to evaluate the students shortlisted
after the test.

Infrastructure Department of Management Studies,
University of Madras
The
Department of Management Studies is housed in the Chepauk
Campus. The Classrooms at DOMS are a specialty in themselves.
The seats are arranged in such a way that the faculty has
physical access to each and every student in the class.
Classrooms are equipped with a Lectern, a computer and an
LCD Projector and OHP Projector. Library has around 10000
books specifically on Management. The Department is equipped
with a new state of the art computer laboratory, with about
30 computers with high Computer Labspeed internet connectivity.
The
Department has an auditorium of its own, which can seat
about 120 people. This auditorium is Air-Conditioned and
has all necessary Audio-Visual equipment. For larger events
like, student events, and convocations, the colossal Centenary
Auditorium of the University is used. The Hostel campus
is situated about 0.5 km from the University Campus. The
rooms are spacious and are offered on a twin sharing basis.
